29th October 2004 SPECIAL APPEAL FOR SUPPORT CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL FOR THE POOR The Wings of Love Foundation is organizing a Christmas Festival for the less privileged in and around the Tema Metropolis (Tema, Ghana, West Africa).
The Festival seeks to provide an opportunity for the economically challenged to experience the Love that the Christmas Season is all about. As we all know Christmas is a once in a year season when we remember the great love God showed us all by sending His son Jesus Christ. It’s a season and time most young people look forward to, expecting to receive new gifts and be treated to good meals, music and fun. Though some families are able to provide enough for their kids there are many kids that go through the season without experiencing the blessings of the Season. Many of them homeless, sleeping in store fronts at night and going through all kinds of hardship.
It’s for the sake of those kids who don’t have anyone providing for them during the season that Wings of Love Foundation have been organizing Christmas Love feast in different locations over the past 3 years. This year’s Love Festival is scheduled to take place in Tema from 16th-18th December 2004 at Community Four.
Children will be brought from Tema New Town, Ashaiman and other parts of the metropolis to be part of the festival.
We are kindly requesting your financial and material assistance to make this Festival a great time of experiencing love for the less privileged in our society. With $20 you can help buy food and toys for 10kids. $100 will cater for 20kids. Beloved, join hands with us make this Christmas a loving one for many kids.
